1  Santander to Llanes

Once through passport control and customs, follow signs for Port Exit and head towards your first route point. Straightacross the roundabout and the bare right following signs to A67 Torralavega.

On the outskirts of this small Spanish seaside fishing village.The walk into the town is approximately 20 mins. There are a number of places to eat there. 

2  Llanes to Tineo

The route first takes you up into the hills surrounding Llanes. Look out for cows that use the road as their own personal sitting area. You will head further across Asturias with views looking back over The Picos de Europa. You head through the medieval city of Oviedo, which is the capital of Asturias. on to your lunch stop which has far reaching views over the local countryside. 

Continuing west you'll reach the delightful  cobbled town of Salas.  This evening you will stay in the  Roman hill town of Tineo. Keep an eye out for the yellow scalloped shell signs which guide pilgrims on their journey to Santiago.
